Conference Information
Conference Venue:
Peter Nicol Russell (PNR) Building at Engineering Precinct of Darlington Campus, University of Sydney, NSW 2006.
Internet:
Wireless internet access is provided as a guest user in the University Campus.
Video/Audio:
All the lecture theatres/rooms provide projector, desktop computer (with internet access) and connection ports to laptop. USB should be workable for MS Powerpoint presentation, but the presenting authors are recommended to test it beforehand. If the presenting authors choose to use their own laptops, please test the laptop compatibility with provided audiovisual equipment by going to the lecture room where your presentation will be held sometime before your session starts. Each session is preceded by a break; we strongly advise the presenters to use the time to make their final check on presentation equipment.
Lunch and Dinner:
The conference will provide lunch box (onsite PNR Building, Thursday and Friday 1-1:30pm) and dinner (Winter Garden, in the ground floor of School of Information Technology Building, Thursday 6:00-7:30pm) for conference attendances.
Technical Sessions:
The technical program consists of four parallel sessions each day. Only the registered abstract/papers are included in the technical program. The presenting author should control their presentation within 15 minutes and allow 5 minute questioning/answering.
Abstracts and Full Length Papers:
All the abstracts (included in the USB proceedings) and full length papers are reviewed rigorously by minimum two expert reviewers in the field (with a considerably high rejection rate). All the accepted full length papers will be published in a special issue of “Applied Mechanics and Materials” by TTP after the conference, under a condition of “one registration one paper”. If your paper has not been registered specifically, it will be removed from the publication.
Oral and Poster Presentation
Oral and poster presentations are only the author’s preference and both are equally reviewed rigorously without any inferior.
Paper Competitions
The participation is invited via application. Only applied, registered and presented papers will be considered for the competition by the panel. The competitions will look at both scientific quality and presentation; and are assessed in four different categories:
- ACCM2013 Best Paper Awards - Undergraduate students
- ACCM2013 Best Paper Awards - Postgraduate students (Masters and PhDs)
- ACCM2013 Best Paper Awards - Early Career Researchers (within five years of PhD)
- ACCM2013 Best Paper Awards - All categories (more than 5 years of PhD)
Registration desk:
Registration desk will be open on Wednesday, 2nd October, in the late afternoon hours (15:00-18:00) and will be located at the door of Tutorial Room 315, on level 2 of PNR building. It will be reopen at PNR drawing office 1 on Thursday & Friday from 8:00am. Please feel free to go to registration desk if any assistance is needed.
